In the early eighties, we rebuilt the Steingraeber 205 using the design drawn up by Steingraeber's founding father - THE design that gave rise to the sound produced by Liszt's Steingraeber grand.

We have managed to incorporate an unusual technical concept in this grand: although the soundboard is comparitively slim and its curvature is very rigid, the strings are extremely long. These two features provide dynamic diversity with constant clarity of tone, regardless of whether the hammer heads are set to produce a lyrical or brilliant sound.
